Job Title: Architect / Technical Manager – Residential Development Location: Farringdon, London Company: Tier One Residential Developer Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are seeking a Technical Manager to join a leading Tier One Residential Developer to support the early design and technical delivery of two significant new-build residential schemes in Farringdon, set to commence in 2026. These developments will comprise over 1,100 high-quality apartments and represent a flagship investment in sustainable and design-led urban living. You will play a pivotal role in RIBA Stages 1 and 2, working closely with the Technical Director, external consultants, and key internal stakeholders to steer the projects through feasibility, planning, and early technical design. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Technical Coordinator, Technical Manager, or an Architect with strong experience in large-scale residential projects to take the next step in their career with a respected, forward-thinking developer. Key Responsibilities * Manage and coordinate technical input during RIBA Stages 1–2 across two large residential projects. * Liaise with design teams, consultants, and planning authorities to ensure coherent and deliverable design solutions. * Assist in preparing technical reports, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to support early design development. * Support the Technical Director in shaping design strategy and ensuring compliance with planning, building regulations, and internal design standards. * Coordinate and review consultants’ work to ensure consistency and buildability across projects. Requirements * Proven experience in a Technical Manager or Senior Technical Coordinator role, or as a Project Architect, ideally within a residential developer or architectural practice. * Strong understanding of RIBA Plan of Work, particularly Stages 1 & 2. * Demonstrated experience on large-scale residential schemes (preferably 500 units). * Excellent coordination and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, design-led environment. * A background in architecture or technical design with a focus on UK residential regulations and planning frameworks
