Job Description
As a Product Manager, you are responsible for ensuring competitive advantage by managing a future-proof product strategy for your responsible product categories. You manage the technical and economic performance of the assigned product, portfolio or segment over the complete lifecycle and work cross-functionally with business-wide stakeholders, to further strengthen Bosch in your product category.
Product Strategy Development
* Own the product strategy: Utilise deep expertise in the UK heating market and advanced product management techniques to develop market-leading product specifications, tailored to specific customer needs.
* Conduct strategic research: Lead in-depth market and customer research, including both technical and commercial competitor analysis, to identify key trends, market gaps, and unique selling propositions (USPs).
* Validate concepts with users: Initiate and execute user experience (UX) research and testing to validate product concepts, features and benefits, ensuring they meet genuine customer needs.
* Ensure compliance: Engage across the Standards network and act as the subject matter expert on relevant regulations and standards, integrating them proactively into all product specifications to ensure full compliance.
Product Development & Launch
* Lead the product vision: Act as the voice of the customer and product strategy within development projects, translating insights into clear, actionable requirements and user stories.
* Define the value proposition: Ensure the right product is delivered at the optimal quality and price point for the target market, with a clear focus on commercial viability and customer value.
* Drive communication and alignment: Champion the product’s features, benefits and USPs, ensuring they are effectively communicated and understood throughout the organisation and by key customer groups.
* Orchestrate new product introductions: Lead and manage new product introductions (NPIs), coordinating a flawless launch with all relevant departments, including marketing, sales and internal technical stakeholders
Product Lifecycle Management
* Own the ongoing product strategy: Lead cross-functional teams to define and execute the overarching product strategy, leveraging the 4 Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) to maximise market impact and profitability.
* Analyse portfolio performance: Continuously review the product portfolio's performance using key metrics like revenue, margin and market share, making data-driven decisions based on market trends, legislative drivers, customer needs and competitor activity.
* Optimise the portfolio: Proactively manage the product range, including the strategic phase-out of products that are no longer relevant or competitive to ensure a healthy, efficient and profitable portfolio.
Portfolio Management
* Shape the portfolio strategy: Collaborate with senior stakeholders across sales regions and Business Units to define a market-leading portfolio strategy that fulfils the commercial and growth objectives of the wider business.
* Develop pricing strategies: Lead comprehensive pricing & value analysis and strategically position products, defining price and revenue scenarios based on business goals, predecessor products and segmentation strategies.

Qualifications
Education requirements:
* Educated to degree level in relevant field (e.g. Product, Business Management Marketing, Engineering) or equivalent
* Experience within UK HVAC industry, preferable though not essential
* Experience working within Product Management, Business Development or Marketing functions

Working Hours: 39 hours per week – standard working pattern of 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 16:00 Friday with a 1-hour lunchbreak
