About the Role
We're seeking a proactive and results-driven Workshop Manager to lead our production operations. You'll oversee day-to-day workshop activity, ensure efficient workflows, maintain high standards of quality and safety, and drive productivity to meet customer deadlines.
You'll work closely with the Workshop Foreman and wider operations team to ensure smooth production from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve and maintain pane production and productivity targets
* Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and optimise processes
* Ensure all orders are completed on time and meet quality standards
* Manage team schedules and holiday periods to maintain adequate staffing
* Lead and motivate a high-performing production team
* Implement and maintain quality assurance and health & safety procedures
* Coordinate maintenance and resource planning for continuous workflow
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
Key Performance Indicators
* Production and productivity targets consistently achieved
* Orders completed on schedule with minimal delays
* High product quality and low rework rates
* Effective team performance and coverage
* Compliance with safety and operational standards
Skills & Attributes
* Proven experience in workshop, production, or manufacturing management
* Strong leadership, organisation, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and team management abilities
* Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
* Experience in glazing, fabrication, or a related industry preferred

Salary: £30,000 + up to 20% productivity bonus
