The Growth Company's (GC) Employment team is seeking a Restart Employment Advisor to provide guidance and training services for unemployed individuals, supporting their progression into employment, training, and education.
We aim to make a lasting impact on people's lives across the North of England and beyond by helping individuals find meaningful employment.
Our skilled advisers and keyworkers work with a diverse range of individuals, from those recently unemployed to those facing complex barriers such as disabilities, mental health issues, and debt.
We collaborate with employers to address recruitment and skills needs, facilitating the placement of individuals into high-quality, sustainable jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and deliver advice, guidance, and training interventions tailored to unemployed individuals' needs, including referrals to agencies like JCP, colleges, employers, and training providers.
2. Conduct assessments, inductions, job search sessions, and follow-up activities through one-to-one or group formats.
3. Participate in team activities, including tender/bid writing and developing new services.
About you:
* Professional, articulate, flexible, and adaptable.
Skills required:
* Experience in coaching/mentoring, influencing, and persuasion through work or social activities.
* Experience in customer-facing roles such as Customer Service, Hospitality, Social Care, Retail, etc.
* Experience working in performance-driven environments.
* Willingness to travel locally to meet clients and employers.
* Exposure to diverse customer groups.
* Experience in Welfare to Work or publicly funded services is desirable.
