Head of Sales & Marketing – Ethical Food Brand (eCommerce Focus)
Location: Cullompton, Devon (Office-Based with Flexibility)
Hours: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 + Benefits + Staff Discount
We’re partnering with a fast-growing, purpose-led food brand based in Devon, known nationally for its ethical values, regenerative farming principles, and commitment to quality. With ambitious growth plans for both eCommerce and B2B channels, the business is now seeking a strategic and commercially minded Head of Sales & Marketing to lead customer acquisition, retention, and brand expansion.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a candidate with strong digital marketing and eCommerce experience, alongside the ability to manage and inspire a small in-house team across multiple sales channels.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the board, this is a hands-on role with strategic oversight. You’ll lead the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns and scalable sales strategies – with a key focus on driving online D2C growth, expanding B2B partnerships, and optimising the customer journey across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and deliver the sales and marketing strategy, with a strong eCommerce and digital performance focus
* Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-functional team covering digital, content, CRM, events, and B2B sales
* Oversee paid media, SEO, email marketing, and affiliate campaigns to drive acquisition and retention
* Lead brand positioning and messaging across channels including web, social, packaging, and PR
* Analyse and report on KPIs across customer acquisition, conversion rates, AOV, retention, and CLTV
* Identify and develop new revenue streams, retail partnerships, and wholesale opportunities
* Own the CRM lifecycle and customer segmentation strategy
Who We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in a senior sales/marketing leadership role within a high-growth D2C/eCommerce brand
* Strong understanding of performance marketing, CRO, CRM, and digital analytics
* A track record of driving commercial results through innovative campaigns and multi-channel growth strategies
* Commercially astute, data-driven, and highly strategic, while still willing to be hands-on
* Passionate about sustainability, food ethics, and creating a brand with purpose
* Experience in food & drink, FMCG, or lifestyle sectors preferred
