Business Analyst with strong LNG knowledge, within Energy or Commodities Trading is needed for a commodities & energy trading firm, covering both physicals & derivative trading. With their continued growth and onboarding new products, inline with new regulatory changes, they need a Business Analyst with strong Front office. This small enterprise company is looking for LNG knowledge to work on the full Project lifecycle covering business requirements analysis, functional specification of changes, testing as required and support of UAT.
This is a Business / Front Office facing Business Analyst role within an Energy Trading environment, so excellent communication skills are required working with all levels of seniority. As a Business Analyst on the LNG project, your primary objective is to facilitate the design and implementation of a comprehensive system that consolidates trade lifecycle events, delivering near real-time exposure and position data across multiple energy commodities.
💰This role can pay up to £130,000 per annum

As a LNG Business Analyst with strong Energy / Commodities Derivatives knowledge, your role will be to work closely with stakeholders across multiple Energy Trading desks (LNG, Carbon, Gas & Power etc.) to define and document the scope and design of the platform. Managing competing priorities and stakeholder expectations to ensure project deliverables align with strategic goals. Leading workshops to gather requirements, understand complex energy trade lifecycle events (from deal capture through to settlement), and align expectations with business needs.
As a LNG Business Analyst with strong derivatives knowledge gained specifically within an Energy Trading house, you will work closely with IT, translating business requirements into technical solutions. You will partner with Application Support Analysts, Developers, UAT teams and Architects to ensure the platform accurately reflects front office trading workflows, risk calculations (Greeks), and real-time exposure reporting across physical and financial energy products.
