Overview
Veterinary Surgeon, Full Time - Fareham Park Gate. We are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join our team at Companion Care Vets Fareham Park Gate. We are a busy first opinion practice located between Southampton and Portsmouth, just off junction 9 on the M27, and ideally looking for a candidate with at least 3 years UK experience. A certificate holder would be advantageous, but not essential. Not only would you become a member of our team, but also part of four other locally owned surgeries with a pool of over 20 veterinary surgeons with various interests between them. Location: PO14 4PH.
We would be happy to consider both a part and full time role for the right candidate, full time being 40 hours per week. Weekends are on a rota basis with a 1 in 3 Saturday. We are closed on Sunday. You will be joining our established practice which celebrated will be celebrating it’s 25th year in 2025. Our team consists of three veterinary surgeons (varying in experience from a new graduate to over twenty years’ experience), with two additional locum veterinary surgeons currently. They are supported by seven registered veterinary nurses, two student veterinary nurses, three veterinary care assistants, seven receptionists, and our practice manager. In addition, four of our team have over 10 years’ service with us. Partner, Lucy Grinham, RVC graduate 2012, grew up locally and has been a member of the team since 2004, having started as a Receptionist whilst still at school.
Responsibilities
• Be a proactive, well rounded GP Veterinary Surgeon with solid surgical and medical skills. • Deliver excellent patient and client care and work collaboratively as part of a team. • Embrace all aspects of the role and contribute to the variety the position offers. • Work within an established practice with access to clinical facilities and a supportive colleagues network.
Qualifications
• At least 3 years UK experience. • A certificate holder would be advantageous, but not essential. • Strong teamwork mentality and willingness to engage in all aspects of the role.
