Head of Marketing – (Social Welfare Charity, Home based in the UK)

Location: Remote within the UK with 1-2 meetings a month in London
Civitas Recruitment is working with a charity dedicated to developing a thriving Muslim community in the UK. The charity helps Muslims calculate and give Zakat to those in need across the UK. An exciting opportunity exists for a Head of Marketing to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for increasing brand awareness, enhancing donor engagement, managing digital presence, and delivering high-quality content. You will lead a small team covering social media, content, creative, and corporate communications, ensuring alignment with the charity’s mission. This is a full-time, permanent, remote role with 1-2 days a month in London for meetings (reasonable travel expenses covered within the UK).
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have at least five years of senior experience in digital and performance marketing. You should have extensive knowledge of integrated marketing campaigns and efficient execution of channel marketing. Experience in planning, executing, and managing digital marketing activities across SEO, Email, Social Media, and PPC is essential. You should be highly creative, capable of identifying target audiences, and devising digital campaigns that inform, educate, inspire, and persuade prospects, existing donors, and lapsed givers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong influencing skills with donors, colleagues, and partners, are required. Cultural awareness and the ability to communicate sensitively within faith-based contexts are also important.
