IT Team Leader – Azure Delivery

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT Team Leader to take ownership of a skilled team, delivering and supporting cloud infrastructure in Azure. You’ll manage a busy shared mailbox, triaging and coordinating requests with workstream leads, and help drive the transition from reactive support to a proactive, self-service culture.



You’ll lead daily stand-ups and sprint ceremonies, inspiring your team to embrace Agile ways of working and continuous improvement. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how cloud services are delivered, ensuring your team is empowered, confident, and supported to deliver their best work.


Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You’ll build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, translating technical concepts into business language and acting as a trusted advisor. You’ll be hands-on in resource planning, risk management, and short-term project delivery, working closely with both internal colleagues and third-party suppliers to maintain high standards of service and compliance.

About you

You’re an experienced team leader with a solid understanding of Azure services and how they integrate within a business. You thrive in Agile environments, communicate with clarity, and foster psychological safety and autonomy within your team.


You’re meticulous in your communication style, able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences, and confident in responding to technical questions. Your leadership style is collaborative, empathetic, and focused on continuous improvement.


You’ll bring proven experience in line management, workflow coordination, and supporting the development of others, ideally within a hybrid working environment.

Skills required




1. Strong understanding of Azure services and business integration

2. Demonstrable experience leading teams delivering infrastructure through automated build and deployment processes

3. Experience working with in an Agile way of working, running daily stand ups, ceremonies and using the SCRUM framework.

4. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

5. Proven ability to manage high-volume shared mailboxes and coordinate workflows

6. Meticulous attention to detail in written and verbal communication

7. An empathetic, collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing people and delivering measurable results. 

8. Experience of leading a team in a Hybrid environment – desirable

9. Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification – desirable.

10. Salary £55,000 to £65,000
