About the Role:
Alternative Provisions in North Lincolnshire are seeking passionate individuals to support students who require a tailored approach to their education. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing one-to-one and small group support, ensuring students with diverse learning difficulties and complex needs remain engaged and make progress. You will be instrumental in creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment, applying creative and adaptive strategies to help students overcome barriers to learning. Your contributions will be key to their academic achievements, as well as their social, emotional, and mental health development.
You Will:
Possess prior experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN or alternative education setting.
Have a strong understanding of various Special Educational Needs (e.g., SEMH, ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties).
Hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
Be able to provide two obtainable professional references.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to travel to different Alternative Provisions as required.
Be open-minded and committed to supporting children with a wide range of differing learning abilities and behavioural needs.Working with Tradewind, you will also benefit from:
