We are working with a leading aviation components manufacturer based in Portsmouth, currently seeking skilled Assembly Operatives / Machinists to support their growing production team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-precision aerospace components in a dynamic and well-established environment. The role offers long-term potential, with the possibility of extension or transition into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate manual and CNC machinery to produce precision aerospace components
* Assemble mechanical parts and components to exact specifications
* Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
* Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with aviation standards
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment
* Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams
Requirements
* Previous experience in a machinist or assembly operative role, ideally within aerospace or precision engineering
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings
* Familiarity with hand tools, measuring equipment, and machining processes
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Right to work in the UK
