Join to apply for the Health Promotion Tobacco and Vaping Cessation Assistant (LW) role at NHS Scotland, working with the Fife Health Promotion Service.
The Health Promotion Service leads approaches to maintain and improve health and wellbeing across the life course. This position supports the Tobacco & Vaping team and provides essential frontline support to the public, service users and internal/external professionals, ensuring a person-centred approach.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing frontline support and responding to enquiries in a professional, personable and timely manner.
* Conducting regular marketing, promotion and outreach events to sustain referral rates to smoking cessation specialists, maternity and community pharmacy services.
* Generating and sustaining referral rates to improve population health and meet quit success targets, supporting ongoing performance and quality improvements.
* Maintaining accurate data using a range of databases and software packages, processing information and carrying out audits.
* Collaborating with a busy team under pressure while managing competing demands.
Essential qualifications and experience:
* Higher Grade or equivalent level education, ideally with an HNC/SVQ level 3 in a relevant discipline and equivalent experience.
* Strong communication, networking and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail and a flexible, helpful manner.
* Experience in a supportive role and the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
* Competency in databases and software supporting communication and data processing.
* Knowledge of NHS systems or prior experience in a health care setting is advantageous.
* Eligibility to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
