We are looking for a full - time Public Law Officer (PLO) to join our Quality Assurance Involvement Service.
This is a key role in improving the quality of service delivery to children, young people and their families who are subject to legal proceedings initiated by children’s services. The PLO officer will be responsible for monitoring the progress of PLO and care proceedings and will attend the Legal Gateway Panel.
An important part of the role will be to identify areas for development and good practice. The role will entail offering advice and assistance to social work practitioners in relation to legal proceedings and report writing.
The suitable candidate will be a professionally qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England. Evidence of significant experience working with children and families, evidence of extensive knowledge of relevant children and families legislation, including public and private law proceedings.
