We are recruiting for a passionate Learning & Development Specialist to join our Global People Function for a 6-month fixed-term-contract based in the UK.
The L&D Specialist will be a vital contributor to BSI’s People Development team in managing the operational delivery of our core leadership, induction, coaching and mentoring services. If you are passionate about making an impact through growing and developing people’s capabilities by effective programme delivery, this will be a fantastic opportunity for you to achieve that on a global scale!
Reporting to the Head of Leadership & Personalized Development, with a dotted line to the Head of Talent & Careers, this role will help delivering the BSI’s L&D initiatives across all seniorities, from apprenticeship and internships management to senior leadership training through 3 major areas as follow.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:-
i. Programme Delivery
1. Facilitate training sections to our global community virtually, e.g. New Joiners Induction, Management Essentials training, Empowering Leader programme etc.
2. Content improvements on our training programmes to improve learner engagement and impact on behavioural change, e.g. using the 70-20-10 Model on our Early Skills Leadership Programme.
3. Provide support to our external consultants and training partners to ensure smooth and effective delivery of training.
ii. Coaching & Mentoring Services
4. Assist in coordinating and advertising the Mentoring and Coaching programmes
5. Support on the data collection and reporting of the programmes.
iii. Early Careers
6. Coordinate and support our Apprenticeship Programme in the UK.
7. Support requests and provide guidance and tools to host internship/placements with relevant charity partnerships, schools and universities.
8. Reporting and monitoring on the UK Apprenticeship Levy.
To be successful in this role, you must have:-
9. Good experience in programme facilitation and delivering training programmes amongst geographically diverse audience.
10. Excellent verbal communications skills to audiences at all levels of seniority.
11. An understanding in the elements of Coaching and Mentoring.
12. Great organisation and coordinating skills in listing training programmes and booking in external training partners.
13. Knowledge in monitoring and reporting apprenticeship programme in the UK, including the Apprenticeship Levy, will be beneficial.
This role will be in hybrid working capacity, with the expectation of working in our office for once a week.
