Flexpipe is looking for a Design and Estimation Technician to join our Flexpipe Lab team.
What is Flexpipe?
Founded in 2011, Flexpipe is a manufacturing company that specializes in modular material handling systems offering great flexibility of use. It means a system of steel pipes and over thirty types of connector joints that can be used to imagine, design, and build just about anything. Flexpipe is also a system designed to be the king of continuous improvement. It is a modular system that can be assembled and disassembled nearly endlessly—just like LEGO. The most common items we build are handling carts, ergonomic workstations, "supermarket-style" racks, and conveyors. It’s super fun!

What’s the job?
The work mainly involves designing material handling solutions, as well as assembly stations, for clients in manufacturing plants. The technician is responsible for developing and proposing custom solutions to clients. Using SketchUp and the Flexpipe system, the technician can respond to all requests. You will work directly with end clients, offering them turnkey solutions.
The technician designs, prepares documentation and material lists, writes quotes, and presents solutions to clients. They are also responsible for project evaluation and maintaining updated quotes and documentation over time.

* Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles (an asset)

Location / Schedule / Compensation
Location: Farnham, QC
Salary: $55,000 to $70,000 per year
Schedule: 40 hours/week, Day shift
Education and Experience
* Education: DEP / AEC or Certificate (Preferred)
* Experience: Project management: 1 year (Preferred)
Work location: In-person in Farnham, QC, with remote work possible.
