This is an exciting opportunity to join a large, multi-building campus renowned for its beauty, outstanding benefits and great work environment. You'll shape the HVAC service and maintain, fault-find and improve commercial heating and ventilation while enjoying stability, career pathways and a work-life balance rarely found.
In this position you will maintain, fault-find and improve commercial heating and ventilation plant across a 300-building estate. From daily PPMs and reactive repairs to producing RAMS, mentoring apprentices and supervising contractors, your remit spans day-to-day engineering and long-term asset planning-all with the tools, budget and processes of a major public-sector employer.
This role entitles you to 40 days annual leave (including Christmas & Easter closures), free training that triggers £600-£1,200 allowances per ticket, an on call rota which pays £4000 extra on your salary.
The Role:

* Deliver planned & reactive HVAC maintenance, ensuring statutory compliance
* Produce quotations, permits and RAMS; keep CAFM/PPM systems fully updated
* Mentor apprentices, supervise specialist contractors and support energy-saving projects


The Person:

* Holds NVQ/C&G Level 3 (or higher) in Mechanical HVAC / Plumbing & Heating
* Has proven commercial experience with boilers, pumps, AHUs and BMS fault-finding
* Is comfortable producing compliance paperwork and joining the on-call rota

Earn up to £1,200 extra per year - the University funds the training, you bank the allowance.

* Thermography (ITC Level 1) - thermal-camera inspections | £600
* Cat & Genny Utility Scanning - safe digs | £600
* Electric Steam-Boiler Operator | £600
* OFTEC (Oil-Boiler) Engineer | £600
* GasSafe - Core Domestic | £600
* GasSafe - Core Commercial & Boilers | £1,200
* Steel / Cast-Iron Pipework Welding | £600
