We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Global Network Management - Commercial Strategy & Digital to join our Global Network Management team. This role is located in Manchester, UK - HYBRID The Global Network Management (GNM) team manages BNY's network of Sub-custodian and correspondent bank relationships across more than 100 markets, delivering market insights to clients, selecting and appointing new relationships, assessing and opening new markets, negotiating commercial terms with providers, executing the firms oversight framework, monitoring regulatory compliance of the existing network and advocating with market players for international best practices and market change. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Responsible for the continued expansion of GNMs data & digital integration with Sub-custodian partners. Working closely with internal BNY stakeholders and Sub-custodians to implement a real time network for data exchange with sub custodians using IBM Message Queue (MQ) and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP). Expected to work closely with the Network POD within product development to provide direction and assistance in delivering enhanced digital and AI related modules within BNY's NEXEN platform to support GNM's core requirements such as the Golden Source Database or Compliance Tracker workflow tool. Expected to work closely with external network management software-as-a-service vendor/s to provide direction for future workflow enhancements through the use of AI and improved tooling such as digitizing SLAs, Service Score Cards, Fee Schedules and Sub Custodian Invoices Expected to contribute to the annual cycle of commercial planning using data analytics to identify optimal fee saving opportunities across the network. Working closely with GNM POD owners, BNY LOBs/Client Platforms and internal client facing representatives to gain an understanding of relationship dynamics and balance of trade across the network. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: The successful candidate will be expected to lead tech development and engineering staff on dedicated projects, helping to coordinate and align the transformation agendas and key stakeholders internally within BNY and externally across Sub-custodian partners and software-as-a-service vendors to drive positive and impactful change Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience (advanced / graduate degree is preferred). Sufficient years of total work experience, preferably banking industry experience in global custody network management, product management risk, compliance, or client engagement. Strong written and verbal communication skills required, comfortable presenting to client and internal management. Strong analytical, process flow and operational mapping expertise Self-motivated, takes ownership and pride in producing work of the highest calibre. Team player with a flexible attitude and dynamic / adaptive approach. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities. Successful project manager with experienced / well-developed leadership skills. Preference for foreign language skills. This position may require 4-8 weeks travel annually.
