An Exciting Opportunity: Assistant Financial Accountant (Team Member)

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will act as a strategic advisor to the senior commercial team, providing financial insights that drive decision-making, profitability, and growth. You will lead commercial analysis, support pricing strategies, and ensure financial rigour across key business initiatives.

Key Tasks

* Partner with senior commercial leaders to deliver actionable financial insights.
* Influence behaviours and performance through insights and understanding of key drivers and trends
* Analyse margin performance - volume, price, mix and comparing these to the budget identifying issues, and recommending actions
* Analyse customer profitability, pricing models, and contract performance.
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on pricing and margin strategies and decisions
* Month end close and commercial management accounts.
* Oversight and guidance on commercial overhead costs, driving efficiencies and ensuring appropriate spend.
* Preparation of management reporting and insightful commentary.
* Lead the development of commercial forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.
* Provide financial support for new product development and market expansion.
* Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting.
* Present complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders in a clear, impactful manner.
* Build strong relationships across the commercial teams and the wider business
* Champion the role of finance across the business, enhancing its strategic influence

What We Are Looking For:

* 2 years post qualification experience (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
* Strong analytical skills and pro-active problem solver
* Confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
* Results focussed approach
* Experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment
