Job summary
We're seeking an experienced Estates & Facilities IT Systems Manager to oversee the development, maintenance, and performance of key Estates IT systems at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.
This senior and specialist role ensures our Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), compliance databases, and asset registers are operational, compliant, and fit for purpose. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance system performance, lead service improvement projects, and support safe, efficient Estates and Facilities services.
The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills, a solid understanding of compliance frameworks, and confidence to lead projects and influence change across multiple sites.
Our sites are spread across Sussex, offering flexibility in your base location at one of several sites.
Main duties of the job
You will manage a portfolio of Estates IT systems and execute projects to improve data quality, system performance, and reporting. Your key duties include:
1. Leading the development and implementation of Estates IT systems, including procurement, integration, testing, and upgrades.
2. Acting as system lead for CAFM, BMS, compliance databases, and electronic asset registers.
3. Maintaining and enhancing compliance dashboards, reports, and workflows.
4. Providing technical support and training to Estates staff on system use.
5. Supporting service continuity, business planning, and compliance reporting.
6. Analyzing performance data and presenting findings to stakeholders.
7. Collaborating with Estates and Capital Development teams on asset databases and smart PPM systems.
8. Driving Estates IT projects, supporting user adoption and system benefits.
9. Providing leadership and guidance on compliance, including SFG20 and HTM requirements.
You will also support change management, training, stakeholder engagement, and technology integration.
