Responsibilities
* To work as an integrated member of the multi‑disciplinary team supporting service users with a primary diagnosis of Learning Disability, history of offending behaviours, and who may experience additional mental health problems, delivering holistic care and support as part of the Forensic Pathway under the supervision of Registered Nurses, and uphold the principles of Positive Behaviour Support in all aspects of patient care.
* To participate in the delivery of care plans, treatment programmes and training for service users under the direction of qualified staff.
* The service users' personal information is always treated within the strictest of confidence. Any requests to disclose information must be relayed to qualified personnel.
* To support service users at reviews, appointments or meetings.
* To assist in promoting a healthy lifestyle, hygiene routines, and general appearance, whilst respecting the service user's choices and beliefs, promoting dignity, respect and privacy where necessary.
* To protect the service users from any form of abuse – physical, psychological, financial, sexual or any instance of intimidation. Any suspected abuse must be brought to the attention of the Trust by informing a qualified or senior member of staff.
* Reporting of any untoward occurrences to the appropriate person.
* To support other staff members with day‑to‑day duties within your level of competence, providing you have the appropriate training, instructions or skills to undertake the duties.
