Commercial Manager Ref: 25215 London (Hybrid)
The opportunity
We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking Commercial Manager to join our established and growing team in the UK.
The role is to support the retention of current business and the acquisition of a new business with a focus on delivering commercially sound and competitive pricing, actively seeking innovative pricing solutions to deliver the best value to the client and supporting the bid team to develop commercially viable propositions as part of a bid/retention.
Job Responsibilities:
Preparing tender returns using various financial models in a timely manner ensuring Macro procedures are followed and value for money solutions are proposed.
Supporting the bid solution process including interfacing with suppliers and internal stakeholders and benchmarking suppliers/contracts.
Being a team player to continuously improve processes and procedures to ensure the financial and commercial side of the bid process operates efficiently and effectively.
Reviewing RFIs, RFPs and terms and conditions identifying key commercial risks and opportunities to be considered by the bid team and understanding the solution requirements.
Working closely with the bid team to develop and challenge the solution being put forward, identifying key risks and opportunities and ensuring a clear, commercially sound proposal is submitted including relevant assumptions, exclusions and dependencies.
Assessing input from Macro legal to ensure compliance with Macro golden rules and any other areas signposted by Macro legal for commercial review.
Managing the end-to-end process of pricing tenders, including benchmarking, and obtaining and challenging supplier quotes through to ensuring a successful sign off of a bid and submission back to the client.
Modeling our financial return and completing internal P&Ls and client pricing templates.
Supporting the negotiation lead during client negotiations.
Updating the commercial model and key commercial opportunities and risks tracker to reflect commercial terms agreed upon during the negotiation process.
Managing the commercial solution and price through to final negotiations.
Working closely with the legal team to ensure the final commercial terms agreed upon during the negotiation process are captured in the MSA.
Supporting the commercial business partner in conducting benchmarking exercises.
Developing and maintaining a data model to capture contract and industry benchmark data to support the application against new bid opportunities.
The job holder should ideally have:
Relevant qualifications or working towards
Previous Commercial experience ideally within the FM industry (although not essential).
An effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Experience at leading Contract negotiations.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Advanced Excel skills.
