Join our fantastic #TeamConnectsHub in Galashiels as a Support Practitioner on a permanent (35 hours per week) basis.
No previous experience is needed; if you're caring, compassionate and willing to learn, we'll provide all the training and support you need.
Our team and the individuals you'll support
You'll become part of a welcoming, fun and dedicated team supporting people both within our Connects Hub and out and about in the local community. You'll help them to take part in activities they enjoy, develop new skills and achieve their personal goals. From swimming to football and sensory activities to arts and crafts, you'll be part of creating fun and meaningful experiences every day. This is a role where you'll build genuine relationships, encourage independence and make a long lasting positive impact on people’s lives.
We're looking for someone who is:

* Confident using technology and basic computer skills
A full UK manual driving licence would be beneficial, but this is not essential.

Shift patterns
Our team typically provide support within the hours of 0800-1800 hours Monday to Friday, however we expect an element of flexibility to fit in with the people we support's needs and planned events, activities and outings that may fall out with these times.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
