Job Title: Field Sales & Managed Accounts Director (Interim)
Location: Kingston upon Thames, Surrey.
Employment: Full‑time temporary until end August 2026, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation up to £85,000 per annum (pro rata).
Work arrangement: Mix of remote and onsite, subject to business requirements.
JOB PURPOSE
The Sales Director is responsible for leading the growth and execution of the Ice Cream business across selected Managed Accounts, the national Field Sales organisation, and Scooping Operations. This role will deliver the 2026 vision and business aims for these functions, build plans for 2027, drive P&L delivery, shape in‑year customer and channel plans, and lead high‑performing teams to achieve the growth agenda while upholding operational standards across scooping and field execution.
Initial focus will be on Managed Accounts during paternity leave cover, before shifting emphasis toward the Field Sales organisation and Scooping Operations.
With responsibility for a team of 10+ colleagues across operational and executional functions, this role plays a pivotal part in enabling flawless execution and driving the company's growth ambitions in the UK. As a key member of the UK OOH Leadership Team, the role partners closely with cross‑functional leaders and reports directly to the Vice President, Customer Development (OOH).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Delivery of in‑year business goals for the Managed Accounts, the national Field Sales organisation, and Scooping Operations that support the growth agenda.
* Responsible for the creation of the 2027 vision and business aims through the annual planning process.
* Line management of 6 individuals, leading a total team of 10+ colleagues.
* Effective management of 3 sub‑functions to ensure they all act in service of the business goals: Field Sales, Cabinet Operations, and Ben & Jerry's scooping operations.
* E2E management of the field sales partner, supporting the head of field sales in your team.
* Stakeholder management of UK IH customer development VP, UK CFO, EUANZ OOH leadership team, & global B&J scooping team.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
* Strong experience in FMCG in executional roles desirable.
* Impulse category experience preferable, specifically snacking/soft drinks.
* Proven track record of successful leadership & people management of large teams (10+).
* Strategic decision‑making and cross‑functional collaboration capabilities.
* Experienced in building & executing new processes to improve effectiveness of delivery vs business goals & to increase accountability.
* System/process transformation and project management preferable.
