Mondottica

Mondottica is a global leader in the design, development, and distribution of premium eyewear, partnering with iconic licensed brands. With a strong focus on brand integrity, quality, and operational excellence, Mondottica delivers spectacles and sunglasses to markets worldwide through a global supply base.

Purpose

The Senior Supply Planner is a hands‑on role responsible for the end‑to‑end planning and management of finished goods supply across a portfolio of licensed eyewear brands. The role focuses on controlling inventory, purchasing from primarily Far East (China) suppliers, and ensuring optimal stock levels that support customer service while reducing overall stock value and risk of obsolescence.

The role will manage one direct report (Supply Planner) and work closely with the Product team to balance newness, continuity, and exit models across seasonal collections.

Key Responsibilities

Finished Goods Supply & Inventory Management

* Own the finished goods supply plan for assigned brands and categories, ensuring alignment between demand forecasts, purchasing decisions, and inventory targets.
* Place and manage purchase orders with a supplier base primarily located in the Far East (China), considering long lead times, MOQs, and production constraints.
* Actively manage stock levels across multiple sites, with a strong focus on months cover, stock value, and aged inventory.
* Drive stock reduction initiatives and range rationalisation plans to support agreed inventory value reduction targets through to the end of 2027.
* Proactively identify excess and slow‑moving stock and develop mitigation plans in collaboration with Sales, Commercial, and Brand teams.

Collection & Product Lifecycle Management

* Work in close collaboration with the Brand team on collection planning, ensuring the right balance between newness, core lines, and exit models.
* Support go‑to‑market plans by ensuring new collections are launched on time and at appropriate stock levels.
* Actively manage end‑of‑life planning, minimising inventory obsolescence and supporting controlled exits of discontinued models.
* Provide supply chain input into range decisions, highlighting inventory, cost, and supply risks.

Planning, Governance & KPIs

Own and report against key KPIs including:

* Stock Months of Cover
* Overall Finished Goods Stock Value
* Aged and Obsolete Inventory
* Progress against inventory reduction targets to end of 2027
* Ensure accuracy and discipline in planning data, parameters, and master data within ERP and planning systems.
* Support monthly planning and review cycles, providing clear insights, risks, and recommended actions.

Team Leadership

* Provide day‑to‑day management and coaching to one direct report (Supply Planner), ensuring high levels of performance, engagement, and development.
* Set clear objectives and priorities, reviewing workload and outputs to ensure delivery against business targets.
* Promote best practice and consistency across supply planning activities.

Stakeholder Collaboration

* Build strong working relationships with Customer Service, Brand, Sales, Commercial, Warehousing, and Finance teams.
* Act as a trusted supply planning partner to internal stakeholders, confidently challenging assumptions and influencing decisions where required.

Skills & Experience

Essential

* Experience in a hands‑on supply planning or inventory management role within consumer goods, fashion, or accessories.
* Experience managing finished goods purchasing from offshore suppliers, ideally in China or the wider Far East.
* Proven track record of reducing inventory levels while maintaining service performance.
* Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP and planning systems.
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of product lifecycle management.

Desirable

* Experience working with licensed brands or multi‑brand portfolios.
* Exposure to seasonal collection‑based businesses.
* Prior line management or coaching experience.

Personal Attributes

* Detail‑focused and data‑driven, with a strong bias for action.
* Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, changeable environment with long supply lead times.
* Confident communicator, able to influence cross‑functional teams.
* Pragmatic, resilient, and solutions‑orientated.
