Job Description
As a Welder / Fabricator, you will have strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of sheet metal work. This role requires welding various metal components with use of hand and power tools. Welders need a strong background with Mig & Tig welding. Aluminium welding is a massive added bonus and that would increase the wage.
This role is a temporary to permanent placement.
Key Responsibilities
Weld metal components according to specifications and drawings.
Assemble parts and structures using various welding techniques.
Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience TIG welding aluminium in a fabrication environment.
Good ability to read and interpret drawings and weld symbols.
Competent with setting up/adjusting welding equipment, fixtures and jigs for aluminium.
Strong attention to detail, high quality finish, good visual weld appearance, minimal rework.
Ability to meet deadlines and work in a production-environment.
Good communication & teamwork skills.
A strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Ideally we are looking for someone who will be able to step in to a supervisor role as cover where needed.
Desirable Skills & Attributes
A minimum of 2 years of various welding experience.
Working Hours & Conditions
2pm to midnight Monday to Wednesday, 2pm to 11.30pm Thursday, Fridays off!
Fridays can be worked as overtime where available
