We are recruiting an Experienced Social Worker with a background in Mental Health and/or Learning Disabilities.

About Us
We are a community team operating in Folkestone and Hythe, working in a hybrid model of office‑based and home working to meet the needs of the service.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our community teams across Kent as we enhance our locality working practice and put the person and good practice at the heart of what we do.
We work with adults with a range of care and support needs placing individuals at the center of their support. Our social care interventions are structured around the three pillars of excellent practice, exceptional innovation, and meaningful measures.
Our work is oriented around building relationships with individuals, their families and carers. We engage with communities early on to help people feel empowered to find trusted help and support locally from a range of sources.
Responsibilities
 * Care Act Assessments
 * Mental Capacity Act (MCA) Assessments
 * Court of Protection applications
 * S42 safeguarding inquiries
 * Engage with individuals, families and carers to build relationships
 * Support adults with a range of care and support needs, placing individuals at the center of support
Qualifications & Experience
 * Post‑qualification experience in Social Services, Health related agencies, or related private or voluntary organisations
 * Registration with Social Work England
 * Competent to work at the Experienced Practitioner level of the Social Care Capabilities Framework for Registered Workers
 * Experience managing and reducing risk and completing safeguarding inquiries
 * Experience supervising other members of staff
 * Demonstrated use of strengths‑based practice with desired outcomes and goals
 * Positive, forward‑thinking attitude and a like‑minded approach, working collaboratively as part of a team
Additional Requirements
Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.
Hold a Full UK Driving Licence. If unable to drive due to a disability the application will still be considered.
Must have command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for effective performance of the job requirements (statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016).
