Applications may be considered for a band 5-6 development post.

The team includes a Clinical Team Leader, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Specialist Nurses/Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Nurse Associates, Occupational Therapy, Consultant Psychologist and Healthcare Assistants.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will have strong engagement skills, excellent communication skills and some experience of working collaboratively with other agencies and professions.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and undertake the crisis assessment of young people, undertake care plans and provide psychological interventions in relation to the young person’s presenting need. They will also lead/supervise interventions provided by junior staff.

The CAMHS Crisis & Intensive Home Treatment Team work closely with our CAMHS Inspire Inpatient Service and will support young people whilst in-patient to support early discharge. Therefore, the successful candidate will be provided with additional training regarding in-patient working to support this joint working.

Experience of working with young people with emotional or mental health difficulties or working in a mental health urgent care/crisis/intensive setting is essential.

The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week (3 to 4 long shifts) and would expect to work flexibly.
