Job Description:
As a Senior Application Support, you will pave the way and set standards for the Application Team. You will be working with both internal and external stakeholders, supporting corporate systems hosted on Azure.
Our client operates a high availability environment, providing live streaming and data services to external clients. They use cutting-edge technology to achieve high performance and strive for technological improvements and efficiencies.
Your technical mindset will enable you to identify best practices and work closely with an external Service Desk. You will act as an escalation point and provide technical knowledge to resolve issues. The Application Engineers within the team possess 3rd line technical capabilities; understanding this level is essential. You will participate in review meetings to analyze service and escalation points alongside the Operations Manager.
Your experience as a Senior/Lead will support the team by introducing new ideas, coaching colleagues through scenarios, and striving for continuous improvement.
Applications are built using microservices architecture; understanding this environment would be highly advantageous.
About you:
* Experience acting as a Senior/Lead within a team, coaching and mentoring colleagues
* Application/Platform support experience, supporting users up to 3rd line
* Azure experience
* Kubernetes experience (desirable)
* Message brokers – Apache/Red Hat (desirable)
Hybrid working – 2 days office-based, 3 days remote
Office location – Milton Keynes
Salary up to £55,000 + benefits
