Overview
Temp All Staffing Ltd are recruiting for a Factory Team Leader, on behalf of a leading manufacturer. The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the area in line with company policy in the absence of the Department Supervisor and to support the Supervisor in carrying out their duties.
Your Benefits

Shifts
5. Full time – 39 hours per week.
6. Monday–Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
7. Friday: 8:00 am – 3:30 pm.
The Role
8. Housekeeping: Maintain the required standard of cleanliness and tidiness within the department.
9. Compliance: Ensure guards are set and guard cards are completed correctly according to necessary regulations.
10. Production Setup: Set machines as required by Production Control.
11. Quality Control: Maintain overall quality standards, including production pass-off in accordance with procedures.
12. Health & Safety: Ensure that correct Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times.
13. Output: Maintain production output in line with production rates and organise workflows to achieve the production plan.
14. Maintenance: Correctly carry out routine maintenance of machines within the department and utilise tooling/maintenance priority schemes.
15. Leadership: Motivate all reporting employees and handle initial staff matters, including disciplinary procedures up to the initial warning level.
16. Communication: Ensure management is advised of any problems; maintain correct communication between departments and a positive attitude toward all workers.
17. Reporting: Maintain an up-to-date nominal roll for fire evacuation procedures.
18. Resource Management: Ensure company property is treated correctly and recommend improvements for enhanced performance.
19. Personnel: Ensure correct timekeeping and attendance within the department and verify that operators receive correct training as detailed by procedure.
Your Experience/ Requirements
20. Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment.
21. Familiarity with the use of presses and forming equipment.
22. Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
23. Experience using MRP/ERP systems.
24. Sound knowledge of current health and safety procedures.
25. Ability to work effectively under pressure.
26. Engineering or Lean Manufacturing qualifications are an advantage, but not essential.
