Contract Type: Fixed Term Working Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week Number of positions: 1 Qualifications Required: Numeracy/literacy skills (at a level equivalent to NQF Level 2) and hold HLTA status Start Date: 1st April 26 Salary: £26,403 -28142 pro rata We are seeking to appoint positive, committed and self-motivated Learning Support Assistants with experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to the inclusive values of our school and a genuine passion for supporting the learning, wellbeing and personal development of all children. Practitioners with experience of working across all key stages, in particular EYFS are also welcomed. About the Candidate This role is ideal for practitioners who have experience of working with pupils with a range of additional needs, including communication and interaction needs, social, emotional and mental health needs, and learning needs. You will work closely with class teachers, the SENDCo and wider phase teams to deliver high-quality classroom support and targeted interventions and may also be required to provide cover supervision where appropriate. Applicants should hold a HLTA status. However, candidates who demonstrate relevant SEND experience and a clear willingness to work towards this qualification will also be considered. Candidates will be required to evidence: Good Maths and English skills (minimum GCSE Grade A–C or equivalent) Experience of supporting children with SEND, including those working below age-related expectations A good understanding of evidence-based interventions and personalised approaches to learning Knowledge of how children develop communication, interaction and language skills, including non verbal.
