Supply Hive is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Slough that is looking to appoint an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a 1:1 role with a pupil who has additional needs, starting as soon as possible. This position involves providing dedicated support to a child with complex needs. You will have an important part to play in fostering a calm, structured, and nurturing setting, ensuring the pupil is able to flourish both academically and in their social and emotional development. Responsibilities: Provide targeted, individualised support to pupils within the Specialist Resource Provision, using a range of strategies to promote communication, engagement, and learning. Support the delivery of personalised learning programmes and behaviour plans, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO. Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction through structured routines and tailored activities. Support emotional well-being and sensory regulation, helping pupils to remain calm, focused, and ready to learn. Work collaboratively with specialist staff, the SENCO, and external professionals to ensure consistent and high-quality support. Monitor progress and record observations, contributing to reviews and sharing feedback to help inform next steps in learning. Requirements: ✅ Experience working with children with SEN is essential. ✅ A patient, empathetic, and approachable nature with strong communication skills. ✅ A flexible, proactive attitude and willingness to adapt to individual needs. ✅ A valid DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one. ✅ Right to work in the UK.
