With the support of their Executive Partner, our Gartner for CFO clients more adeptly assess the changes needed within their organization, achieve their goals more quickly and with a higher assurance of success. As an Executive Partner, you will have the opportunity to learn about and deliver solutions for the most complex talent and workforce challenges facing companies across all industries.
Partnering with the member can include activities such as: defining, developing, coaching and/or critiquing strategies; helping develop and/or transform their organizations; assisting/advising with the development and execution of vision & strategy; aggregating and delivering Gartner research insights on key initiatives, priorities, and implementations; and in general, becoming a trusted advisor for the client CFO.
Relationship Management
The Executive Partner manages approximately 25 senior executive member relationships and participates in account planning with Senior Client Managers and Senior Account Executives. These three roles collectively and individually have responsibility for each assigned account.
The Executive Partner participates in all phases of the member lifecycle: pre‑sale, on‑boarding, relationship management, delivery, review and renewal.
The Executive Partner conducts monthly consultations with the CFO client, brings the power of Gartner’s service, research and advisory to each client, conducts workshops for the client member, leads CFO activities at the annual Gartner Finance Executive Conference and leads CFO breakout sessions during annual Finance Forums.

The Executive Partner is responsible for member retention and for contributing toward growth in the region through direct support of Gartner Finance in prospect cultivation, account plan development and value demonstration activities.
The Executive Partner supports research activities, such as facilitating member participation in research studies or case panels. The Executive Partner will be aligned with and leverage Gartner research positions and initiatives as well as provide feedback from the member base to the research organization. The Executive Partner works with research analysts to develop and deliver CFO relevant research.
The Executive MUST be a Corporate CFO (current or former) at a mid‑size or larger company with demonstrated topic knowledge in developing and delivering overall Financial strategy, execution and performance improvement. The Executive Partner will be an accomplished current or former CFO with a broad base of expertise that has operated at a senior leadership level and driven change at all levels. Must have a solid understanding of accounting and finance. INDUSTRY DIVERSITY and Fortune 500 experience is highly valued and prior consulting experience is a plus.
The Executive Partner is responsible to retain clients in accordance with established Gartner Retention Metrics. In addition, to work closely with Sales to vet and close “new’ CFO business.
