Healthcare assistants to join our Nursing home with 160 rooms, the Care Centre is located in Southall, London and available for a wide variety of people, offering support for a variety of disorders, disabilities and behaviours We recruit candidates based locally, able to work full-time (40 hours per week) with at least 6 months UK based experience in a similar position. Please note - Sponsorship not provided Job Types: Permanent, Full-time, hours: 40- 44 per week Salary: £12.21 Responsibilities include: Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting Residents when required with all aspects of daily living Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs, e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual Provide supervision and attention when needed, ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity Observe care planning needs for Residents and completed daily records as instructed Assist in framework of social activities by interacting with Residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Care Centre Answer Nurse Call system, giving assistance as required Answer the door and telephone appropriately Respond accordingly, and pass on messages promptly Report on well-being of Residents Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents and Relatives e.g. wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles etc Requirements for the role Ability to communicate effectively at all levels Team player Ability to work on own initiative Live in London area and able to commute Previous experience of working with the relevant Service User group in Nursing Home.
