We focus on e‑waste, catalytic converters, telecom equipment, printed circuit boards, battery materials, IT infrastructure, and solar renewables, helping some of the world’s largest brands close the loop in the circular economy.
With our established Deeside site and brand new 50,000 sq ft Wrexham facility coming online, we’re scaling rapidly and need a dedicated HSEQ leader to keep our operations safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible.
The Role
We are looking for a hands‑on, proactive HSEQ Manager to own Health, Safety, Environment & Quality across both UK sites. This is a critical on‑the‑ground leadership position. You will be the driving force behind our safety culture, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in a busy industrial recycling environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver all internal HSEQ audits and ensure full compliance with internal policies and procedures.
* Support and assist with external audits, regulatory inspections, and certification maintenance (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, etc.).
* Maintain and keep up to date all site permits, licences, and audit records.
* Stay current with the latest Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental legislation and best practice, proactively implement changes.
* Prepare and deliver daily safety briefs to operations teams.
* Drive a strong safety first culture across the workforce.
* Champion continuous improvement in HSEQ performance.
* Be willing to learn new regulations quickly and pursue relevant professional qualifications (e.g. WAMITAB).
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in a HSEQ / HSE / SHEQ Manager role (ideally within waste, recycling, manufacturing or industrial sectors).
* Strong working knowledge of UK health & safety, environmental, and quality legislation.
* Experience running internal audits and supporting external audits.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, confident delivering safety briefings and engaging with teams at all levels.
* Self‑motivated with a willingness to get stuck in on a busy operational site.
* Full UK driving licence (sites are ~15–20 minutes apart).
* Commitment to professional development, staying ahead of regulatory changes.
