Were working with a specialist provision in Oldham that is looking to appoint a SEN Teacher with a focus on supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and communication needs.
This role offers the chance to step into a purpose‑built environment where teaching is tailored, class sizes are smaller, and every approach is designed around helping pupils feel confident, secure, and ready to learn.
This isnt about delivering a one‑size‑fits‑all curriculum. Its about:
* Creating individual learning pathways that reflect each pupils strengths and needs
* Supporting pupils with communication, sensory processing, and social interaction
* Using structured, consistent approaches to build trust and engagement

* Helping pupils develop not just academically, but emotionally and socially
Youll be part of a setting where success is measured in confidence, connection, and personal growth, as well as academic outcomes.
* Planning and delivering highly adapted lessons for pupils with ASC
* Supporting speech, language, and communication development
* Implementing evidence‑based strategies to support focus and engagement
* Working closely with Teaching Assistants and specialist staff
* Building strong, consistent relationships with families and carers
* Creating a classroom that feels safe, predictable, and supportive
Were looking for someone who:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has experience in SEN or a strong interest in autism provision
* Is confident adapting teaching to suit individual learning profiles
* Remains patient, calm, and flexible in their approach
* Works well as part of a team around the child
* Is genuinely motivated to help pupils with additional needs thrive
