We are recruiting for a National Clinical Training Manager to join our team, either in Swadlincote or remotely. Main Responsibilities Lead the development and delivery of the growth strategy for clinical skills across the nursing team. Design, implement and review evidence-based training programmes aligned to national standards and business priorities. Lead the Clinical Education Team, embedding high-quality skills in complex therapies including SACT and IVs, and supporting competency frameworks across the business. Work closely with Learning and Development to deliver the company-wide strategy for high-quality clinical homecare delivery. What experience and skills are we looking for? Provide managerial and clinical leadership to the Clinical Training Team, including day-to-day management. Support the Nursing Directorate to implement growth strategies for complex and high-tech therapies through the development and delivery of evidence-based education programmes. Support the development and implementation of clinical skills policies, procedures and training. Identify training needs and lead delivery of business-wide clinical skills packages. Support the SACT strategy and act as an expert advisor on clinical skills. Coach, support and supervise colleagues in line with professional standards. Communication and Relationship Skills Demonstrate strong influencing, motivational and communication skills. Ensure effective internal and external communication, promote equality and diversity, manage complex and sensitive discussions, and disseminate information clearly to a wide range of stakeholders using varied formats. Use dynamic training methods. Analytical and Judgmental Skills Critically appraise evidence to ensure best practice. Audit training quality and effectiveness. Support reflective practice and learning needs analysis. Use judgement to inform NMC-related decisions. Assess and benchmark clinical education and nurse competence. Planning and Organisational Skills Develop and implement training programmes following audits, incidents and learning outcomes. Manage workload flexibly. Support operational planning, rotas and service coverage. Deputise when required. Patient / Client Care Promote health education and patient-centred care within clinical homecare. Understand national drivers impacting community homecare. Empower clinicians as leaders and support implementation of new initiatives and related training. Responsibilities for Policy and Service Development Work within business policies and procedures. Support development and implementation of clinical skills policies and training. Identify training needs and develop evidence-based programmes. Contribute to service evaluation. Monitor training quality and share best practice. Develop specialist training programmes as required. Responsibilities for Finance Participate in cost improvement initiatives. Manage delegated budgets and resources. Ensure appropriate use of equipment and stock. Responsibility for Human Resources Maintain professional registration, portfolio and CPD. Adhere to professional codes and company policies. Participate in supervision, teaching and mandatory training. Lead recruitment, supervision and appraisal of training staff. Support staff development and performance management. Experience Essential: Registered Nurse (NMC), post-registration experience in SACT and complex therapies, experience in training and assessment, recent clinical experience, education programme coordination, strong communication skills, ability to work flexibly and travel. Desirable: Experience in clinical homecare, community or acute settings, mentorship or ENB qualification, quality improvement experience. Qualifications RGN (Part 1 NMC Register), degree-level qualification, minimum Level 3 training qualification or equivalent experience. Personal Skills & Qualities Ability to develop clinical learning programmes and high-quality training materials. Strong interpersonal, organisational and decision-making skills. Proactive, self-motivated, able to work autonomously. Strong IT skills including MS Office and LMS platforms. Key Competencies Planning and organising, teamwork, training and mentoring, decision making, communication, problem solving, IV therapy experience, specialist area in Oncology or Paediatrics (including SACT).
