Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and be part of a team that builds the foundations of our communities? Heidelberg Materials is looking for a dedicated Asphalt Plant Operative to help drive quality, efficiency, and safety at our site.
What You'll Be Doing
* Operate and maintain the asphalt plant and weighbridge to meet daily production targets.
* Plan production based on customer needs and plant capabilities.
* Carry out start-up and shut-down procedures, optimizing throughput.
* Operate mobile plant machinery (e.g., Front-End Loaders) for loading and feeding.
* Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on static and mobile equipment.
* Ensure accurate weighbridge operations and complete daily reports.
* Refuel and maintain machinery in line with manufacturer and company standards.
* Support nearby sites when needed - travel allowances may apply.
What We're Looking For
* Experience operating plant machinery and weighbridge systems.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
* Flexible availability, including weekends.
* Good timekeeping and a proactive attitude.
* Willingness to travel to nearby sites when required.
