THE BUSINESS
Our client is a world class manufacturing/engineering business with an ever-growing presence throughout the UK. They take pride in crafting exceptional doors, door sets, and screens that seamlessly blend aesthetics with functionality. CNC Operator to join their dedicated team.
THE ROLE
11. Set up and operate CNC router machines to cut, shape, and finish materials
12. Load raw materials onto the machine bed and secure them properly
13. Input, edit, and adjust CNC programs as required
14. Select and change cutting tools, bits, and attachments
15. Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality
16. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances
17. Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
18. Troubleshoot minor machine faults and report major issues to maintenance
19. Maintain a safe and organised work environment
20. Follow health and safety procedures at all times
THE PERSON
21. Proven experience operating CNC router machines within a woodworking or joinery environment
22. Experience working with timber, MDF, plywood, laminates, and composite boards
23. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and loading/editing CNC programs
24. Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and cutting lists
25. High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
26. Reliable, punctual, and able to meet production deadlines
27. Strong problem-solving ability
28. Able to work independently and as part of a team
29. Good communication skills
30. Flexible and adaptable to changing workloads
