THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 8 MONTHS DUE TO FUNDING.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced person to join a developing team.

The post holder will support the Public Health Team within Swansea Bay University Health Board (SBUHB) and the Population Health Intelligence function within SBUHB. The remit of this post is to turn health and wider determinants data and information into intelligence that underpins the work of the Public Health team in supporting improvements in population health and reductions in health inequalities.


Main duties of the job

The post holder will have a broad remit within the Public Health Team to support the delivery of high quality analytics across a wide range of areas supporting the Team’s work programme.

Qualifications and Knowledge

* Educated to Masters Level or equivalent experience
* Highly skilled in using SQL, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
* Extensive understanding of strategic informatics issues within the healthcare environment and current priorities for NHS Wales
* Knowledge of Statistical Analysis and using Statistical packages (SPSS, R)


Essential Aptitude and abilities

* Track record of delivering high quality work in demanding timescales


Experience

* Significant experience of Public Health environment.
* Significant experience of using complex tools to triangulated information from various sources within an information environment
* Significant experience of statistical analysis of highly complex information
* Familiarity with a wide range of external data sources representing the wider determinants of health such as Stat-Xplore, WIMD

The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2025/2026 and will be implemented in August 2025 with arrears backdated to 1st April 2025 where applicable.
