Pertemps West Bromwich are looking for a Chemical Waste Compliance & Technical Lead to manage and oversee waste classification, compliance, storage and documentation within a regulated chemical environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain and update waste logs and records
2. Ensure staff are trained and competent in waste log use
3. Manage on-site waste stock and bund quantities by classification
4. Direct the Waste Supervisor on storage locations and sampling
5. Liaise with QC to interpret waste analysis and ensure correct labelling
6. Create and maintain waste SDS using EXESS (Lisam)
7. Provide waste-handling advice across the business
8. Support investigations into waste-related incidents
9. Participate in audits and EMS activities (ISO 14001)
Essential Requirements
10. BSc in Chemistry (or similar)
11. Knowledge of Duty of Care regulations
12. Minimum 2 years’ experience in the waste management industry
13. Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
Desirable
14. CIWM/WAMITAB qualification
15. Forklift Truck Licence
Hours and Pay
08:45am-16:30pm Monday to Friday paying upwards of £15.91 dependant on experience
