An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time 37.5 hours per week, Band 7 Team Leader in Carmarthenshires Llanelli District Nursing Team. This is a fixed term/secondment for 12 months. There are currently 4 District Nursing Teams in Llanelli, providing nursing care for clients in the community between the hours of 8am and 6pm, 7 days per week. We are looking for a motivated candidate with significant previous Community Nursing and staff management experience, to lead community services into the future. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be responsible for the management, supervision and teaching of a team of bands 3 and 4, and band 5 and 6 nurses.In addition to this they will provide clinical advice to the team and other professional agencies, acting as a resource for evidence-based care. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership and work as part of the MDT, in order to meet the needs of the caseload and local population and must be both an experienced clinician and manager of staff.The ability to travel between locations in a timely manner is essential for this post.
