We’re looking for a Bid Writer to join our Bidding & Estimating Team, based in either Skipton. As a Bid Writer, you’ll be working as part of a successful team who help promote our services to clients and articulate what we do to give us the best chance of securing work to sustain our company’s growth. Part of the role involves engaging with various stakeholders and subject experts from across our business who are able to help build your understanding and ability to promote what we do successfully. As a Bid Writer, you will: Research and analyse bid requirements and specifications to understand what the client is looking for. Write and edit bid proposals, ensuring they are clear, persuasive, and tailored to client needs. Work closely with various departments within the business to gather necessary information and ensure the bid is accurate and comprehensive. Check all bid responses comply with client requirements and company standards. Review and refining the proposal to ensure it is error-free and professionally presented. Coordinate the submission process, including managing deadlines and ensuring all required documents are included. Help to maintain a library of bid responses and high-quality content for reuse on bid submissions. Understand company operations, project delivery, and key internal strategies to explain them in bids. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in bid writing and sharing knowledge across the bidding team. What you’ll need: Degree level qualification Excellent written communication skills Ability to communicate effectively with team members A willingness to learn and understand our business to effectively promote our services. The ability to manage time effectively to meet client driven deadlines.
