Our client, a well established and privately owned Accountancy Practice based in Lytham, is looking to recruit a Bookkeeper to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a divers portfolio of SME clients while developing your technical skills and progressing your career within practice.

As the Bookkeeper you will be working closely with clients and senior members of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality bookkeeping services and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained.

Key responsibilities will include

• Processing sales and purchase ledger transactions
• Bank reconciliations and control account reconciliations
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients
• Assisting with management accounts preparation
• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide support
• Working with cloud-based accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage

We are keen to hear from candidates who:

• Have previous bookkeeping experience within an Accountancy Practice
• Are studying AAT or have gained equivalent bookkeeping experience
• Possess strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Are comfortable communicating with clients at all levels
• Have experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
• Enjoy working as part of a collaborative and supportive team
