Building Manager – South Central, Leeds


South Central is a newly refurbished, multi-let office building in Leeds offering high-quality modern workspace and amenities designed to meet the needs of today’s occupiers.

Shield FM is looking for a Building Manager to join our team in Leeds. Our clients property is a multi-let, on-going refurbishment project so offers a unique opportunity for a the right candidate to grow with and put their stamp on things.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for excellence and working in a high-energy environment.


You will be responsible for the management and support of an individual site in all aspect of the operation of the facility.

Ensuring that the contracted services meet all legal, statutory and client specifications and react to any day to day issues that arise in an expedient and professional manner.

You will undertake the role of Building Manager and ensure that the site staff are carrying out their duties effectively and efficiently, in accordance to Company Policies and Procedures, manage critical subcontractors such as cleaners, security, Grounds and Waste and to act as first point of contact for Site, Subcontractors and staff within the site.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Supervision of FM team including on-site maintenance and cleaning service partners.

• Provide assistance to Property Manager and reporting directly to Property Management team

• Develop and maintain working relationship with tenants of the building

• Ensure Help Desk tickets are raised and managed effectively.

• Liaise with service providers/contract managers.

• Management and supervision of 3rd party contractors and service providers – e.g; specialist maintenance, fabric and mechanical contractors.

• Monitor and respond to Help Desk calls as appropriate.

• Daily walk rounds of walkways/corridors and all common areas to make sure they are kept free of obstructions. Reports of walk rounds to be documented and saved.

• Assist the Property Manager with weekly and monthly statistical reporting.

• Responsible for the management of the access control cards. Deal with starters/leavers and temporary staff access cards.


Minimum 2 years’ experience

IOSH or NEBOSH qualification

Experience:

• Facilities/ Building management: 3 years (required)
