The role of an Activities Co-ordinator at Claydon House, a 49-bedded Residential, Dementia and Nursing Home in Lewes, is to plan, organize, and facilitate engaging activities and events for the residents. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and preparation skills to ensure that each resident is making the most of every day, delivering activities and ideas that bring out the best in those they passionately care about.


Main duties of the job

As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a diverse range of activities and events that cater to the diverse needs and interests of the residents. This includes organizing group activities, one-on-one sessions, and outings to promote physical, mental, and social well-being. You will work closely with the care team to understand the individual needs and preferences of the residents and tailor the activities accordingly. The role requires a flexible schedule, including alternate weekends, with a mix of 10am-5pm and 10am-1pm/1pm-5pm shifts.
