Job summary Newlands Medical Centre is looking for a prescribing clinical pharmacist to join our highly skilled and experienced team. The post requires autonomous working to provide pharmaceutical care to our patients. You will have daily appointments to offer medication reviews and medication advice as well as minor alignments and other contractual obligations including QOF and IIF schemes. Please note this role is an ARRS funded role through Greater Middlesbrough PCN, based fully at Newlands Medical Centre. Main duties of the job The role offers a varied work agenda providing medicines optimisation support and expert pharmaceutical advice, including the implementation and delivery of prescribing initiatives, improving prescribing safety and provision of medication reviews, fully supported by an experienced network of colleagues. You will be a Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council, who is an Independent Prescriber. You must also be computer literate, organised and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. The successful candidate will be able to prioritise workload, build key relationships and be confident interacting with a wide range of stakeholders such as GPs, Nurses, secondary care clinicians and patients. We are a member of Greater Middlesbrough PCN and work closely with our other 7 member practices.
