Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Reading with Hybrid Working
Sector: Multi-Sector Design Projects
You will be involved across the full project lifecycle, supporting the delivery of high-quality, sustainable mechanical design solutions while working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
The Role
* Deliver mechanical design as part of a project team from concept through to completion
* Liaise with architects, engineers, surveyors and contractors across project teams
* Attend project and technical meetings
* Ensure designs meet current legislation and health and safety standards
* Advise clients on energy use, sustainability and carbon reduction
* Design building services systems using CAD and BIM tools including Revit
* Carry out condition surveys and produce technical reports
* Support installation, commissioning and maintenance strategy development
About You
* Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
* Experience in mechanical design within consultancy or contractor environment
* Working towards chartered status or keen to progress
* Proficient in industry software such as IES, Hevacomp, AutoCAD and Revit
* Strong communication and client-facing skills
* Organised, proactive and keen to develop
