Role details
* Grade: Level 5 plus shift allowance
* Salary: £26,403 - £28,598
* Hours: 37 per week
* Work pattern: 37 hours per week across a 6-week rotating shift pattern covering Monday to Sunday (including Bank Holidays). Shifts vary; flexibility for the role is essential
Responsibilities
* Enforce parking regulations to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality
* Patrol across Stoke and Staffordshire as Civil Enforcement Officers, dealing with members of the public face to face and providing customer service while enforcing traffic regulation orders fairly, accurately and consistently
* Spend the majority of the day outside, in all weathers, and be prepared to deal with difficult situations
* Use a hand-held device daily; basic computing skills would be advantageous
* A full driving licence is essential
Qualifications and requirements
* Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with residents, businesses and visitors
* Ability to work outdoors in all weathers and manage sensitive situations with professionalism
* Flexibility to work a six-week rotating shift pattern, including weekends and Bank Holidays
* Basic computing skills are advantageous
* This position is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check
