Job Description:

Spherical Search is partnering with a well-established CRO and analytical testing organization specializing in inhalation and drug delivery science. Based in the UK, the company focuses on testing and developing inhaled and nasal drug products, supporting global pharmaceutical and biotech clients.

PRIMARY PURPOSE SUMMARY

This role leads and manages a team of Computational Scientists supporting pharmaceutical development, data science, and modeling activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide scientific leadership and manage a team of Computational Scientists.
* Lead research projects in computational pharmaceutics.
* Serve as the primary contact for computational problem-solving.
* Author and review scientific reports.
* Present findings to stakeholders.
* Support cross-functional teams with computational expertise.
* Develop SOPs, tools, and methodologies.
* Assist in business development and client project design.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

* Model best practices and ensure safety and quality compliance.
* Follow SOPs and maintain training and documentation.
* Handle confidential information appropriately.
* Adhere to IT and security policies.

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualifications:

* Degree in STEM, preferably science or pharmacy, with 2:1 or higher.
* Research degree with computational focus is a plus.

Experience:

* Experience with PBPK/PBBM modeling software (e.g., GastroPlus, Simcyp, MATLAB, Python).
* Experience with R or SAS.
* Knowledge of drug development, regulatory processes, and validation frameworks.
* Team management and stakeholder collaboration experience.

Skills:

* Strong communication skills.
* Organized, data-driven, and detail-oriented.
* Ability to manage multiple projects.
* Independent and team worker.
* Resilient and adaptable.
* Client-facing experience.
* Excellent report writing and document analysis skills.
