About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance & Payroll Manager to take ownership of the financial operations of two growing businesses — one within property maintenance and the other within lettings.
This is a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone highly organised, detail-driven, and confident managing finances across multiple entities. You'll need to be experienced with Xero, tax returns, payroll, and CRM financial workflows.
The 16 hours per week can be worked flexibly — either spread across several shorter days or condensed into two full days.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all financial operations for two businesses using Xero.
* Process sales invoices, supplier payments, reconciliations, and expenses.
* Prepare and file VAT returns, corporation tax submissions, and ensure HMRC compliance.
* Run monthly payroll, including RTI submissions, pensions, SSP, and holiday tracking.
* Manage the financial workflows within a letting agency CRM, including landlord payments, tenant deposits, and commission structures.
* Produce monthly management reports and assist directors with cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
Key Requirements
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance, accounts, or payroll role.
* Expert-level proficiency in Xero — this is essential.
* Experience preparing and filing tax returns, VAT returns, and managing payroll.
* Familiarity with property and lettings financial processes (desirable but not essential).
* Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to work independently.
